Coquito (Puerto Rican “Eggnog”)

This recipe was introduced to us in 2019 by our new neighbors across the street. We don’t have any family out here in WA, so they were super kind and invited us over to their house for Thanksgiving. We all wore tacky holiday sweaters, sang karaoke, ate way too much food, and celebrated our new friendship with several glasses of delicious and creamy Coquito. I begged them for the recipe so I could make small batches for my co-workers. It’s easy to make and it's oh sooo good!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white rum (750ml bottle)
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (14 oz each)
  • 2 cans cream of coconut — the real stuff! (15 oz)
  • 2 cans coconut milk (13.5 oz)
  • 8 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Directions

Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to your blender, mix well. (again, this is a lot of coquito, you may need to mix it in small batches and then combine)

Step 2: Chill in glass bottles and serve!

Note: This recipe is a great gift to share with friends, neighbors, and family. It's super cute if you add a couple of cinnamon sticks with a ribbon!
